What content must the declaration have? Who must, who may sign the assessment?  <\/li>\n<li>Does the product I distribute need to undergo a type examination?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These and many other questions often arise when dealing with products from the electrical or toy sectors. But the same questions arise for many other types of products as well. Recently, even so-called pedelecs, i.e., bicycles with drive assistance, are affected.  <\/p>\n<h5>Details unclear<\/h5>\n<p>And new questions keep arising due to technological progress. Does a conventional bicycle become a product requiring a full conformity assessment under the Machinery Directive when an electronic shifting unit is installed? Many details remain unclear. In case of errors, in addition to fines for management, sales bans or recalls may be imposed.
